The morning begins with remarkably calm seas and a beautiful sky filled with layers of clouds as the Bahamian coastline comes into view. As we get closer to Nassau, watch the harbor come alive with pilot boats guiding our arrival, other vessels moving through the water, and the entrance to the cruise port growing closer with every passing moment.
Then comes one of my favorite parts of any cruise arrival: watching the entire docking process unfold.
As Jewel of the Seas maneuvers and begins backing into her berth, another cruise ship from Carnival Cruise Line comes into view, creating a great perspective of just how much activity is happening around Nassau's busy cruise port early in the morning.
The combination of the calm Caribbean water, changing morning clouds, pilot boats, cruise ships, and the slow approach into Nassau makes this an incredibly peaceful and mesmerizing timelapse.
